Joe died peacefully on 3 October 2026, aged 84, surrounded by family. Joe had been unwell for several months. Much loved husband of Raewyn, and devoted father of Sheryl, Glen and Kelly. After living in the Far North and Bay of Plenty, Joe settled in Warkworth and enjoyed a long career at the Satellite Station. Joe's work took him on memorable missions to offshore islands, the Pacific Islands and Antarctica, adding adventure and rich experiences to a life well lived. Joe's passion and deep commitment to habitat conservation, both locally and nationally, included service at governance level with Forest & Bird. Special thanks to Joe's five brothers and sisters, and Bob, for their loving support. Their visits and shared activities brought him great happiness. Ian Edwin Lewington. Passed very peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday 30 September 2026, aged 62 years. Loved husband of 40 years of Lynley, loved father of Sarah, Jono, and Elliot, and their partners Nick, Shae, and Oonagh. Adored Pops of Mackenzie and Frankie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Kay and Robert. Special thanks to Harbour Hospice Warkworth for all their care and support. Flowers were not Ian's thing, so please no flowers. Kate passed away peacefully in her home at Algies Bay on Sunday 13 September 2026, aged 91. Much loved mother and mother-in-law to Lisa and Graham, Verity and Lisa, Tilda, and Julia. Nana to Luke, Kelsey, Jessamy, Francis, Claris, and Maya, great-grandmother to Ted, Darby, and Quincy.  Kate was cared for by her four devoted daughters and the very special Imelda Miranda. A service to celebrate Kate’s dynamic life of service to the health sector, in her community, and with her cherished family, will be held at 11am on Friday 18 September 2026 at besoul Funerals, 12 Gumfield Drive, Warkworth. Sharron Leslie Botherway (nee Bradnam) Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on 12 September 2026, aged 63, after a courageous battle with cancer. Much loved wife and best friend of Grant, adored mum of Stacey and Tonya, and mother-in-law of Cameron. Loved daughter of Rosalie and the late Ted Bradnam. Loved big sister of Lynley, Gillian, and Keryn. Treasured aunty of Jessica, Mitchell, Milan, Dorian, Tane, River and Ireland. The family would like to thank the incredible team at Harbour Hospice for their support along Sharron’s journey.  In accordance with Sharron’s wishes, a private cremation has been held. Cheryl Jeanne Clague (nee Goodisson) Passed away at North Shore Hospital, after a short illness on 6 September 2026, aged 93. Dearly loved wife of the late Malcolm for 71 years. Loved sister of Rod. Treasured mother of Jeffrey, Philip, Alison, and Ian. A loved mother in law, and cherished by her 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Sadly Bob passed away on 21 August 2026. A loved Dad to his children Cathy and Mark. A fun spirited man who will be missed by all. He will be lovingly remembered by Kathryn and his grandchildren. WGCDR (Retd) RNZAF Passed away peacefully at Summerset Falls Warkworth on 21 August 2026, aged 95 years. Dearly loved husband of Jane. Loved father of Philip and Elizabeth, father in law of Jan and Steve. Devoted Grandfather to Kearsley and Jack Cranston, and Steven Beechey. Super proud great grandfather to Indi-Rose and Carter. She is survived by four children Keith & Diane, Raewyn & Bruce, Lesley & Paul, Alan & Sharon, and 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
