Passed away peacefully at home on 26 April 2026 surrounded by family, aged 86 years. Dearly loved husband of 64 years of Colleen. Loved brother of Gary. Loved father and father in law of Colin, Sharon and Andrew, Delwyn and Darrell, Steven and Helen, and Carolyn and Todd. Loved Pops of Cindy and Graham, Donna and Terrence, Grant and Sophie, Jayden, Anita, Kaylee, Jarod, Caitlin, Laura and Jack, and his nine great grandchildren Henri, Forrest, George, Della, Harvey, Cora, Allie, Nathan, and Reef.

A service to celebrate Alvon’s life will be held at Wellsford Community Centre, 224 Rodney Street, Wellsford on Friday 8 May 2026 at 1.00pm to be followed by interment at Wellsford Cemetery.
